Wyoming Food Freedom Rally

Saturday, May 16, 2026
Wyoming State Capitol | Cheyenne, WY
Time: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Who should decide what food your family can buy and eat — you, or the government?

For many Wyomingites, the answer is simple: families should be free to buy food from the farmers, ranchers, and local producers they know and trust. That principle was at the heart of the Wyoming Food Freedom Act, signed into law in 2015, which helped protect the ability of individuals to purchase food directly from local producers and make informed choices for themselves.

Now, that freedom is under threat.

Across Wyoming, local producers and farmstands have faced growing pressure from state regulators, raising serious concerns about whether unelected bureaucrats are respecting both the letter and the spirit of Wyoming’s Food Freedom Act. From Cheyenne to Cody, families and small producers are asking an important question: will Wyoming continue to stand for food freedom, personal responsibility, and local choice?

Americans for Prosperity–Wyoming is standing with citizens, farmers, ranchers, food entrepreneurs, and families who believe Wyomingites should not have to ask permission to feed their families or support local producers.

Join us at the Wyoming State Capitol on Saturday, May 16, as we rally in support of food freedom and call on our elected officials to defend the rights of Wyoming citizens.

Speakers will include Tyler Lindholm, AFP-WY State Director and author of the Wyoming Food Freedom Act; David and Tommie Kniseley, owners of WY Fresh in Cheyenne; and additional voices from across Wyoming who are standing up for local producers, consumer choice, and individual liberty.

This rally is an opportunity to show lawmakers, regulators, and our communities that Wyomingites value freedom, trust their neighbors, and believe families should have the right to choose the food that is best for them.

Bring your family, invite a friend, and join us as we stand together for food freedom in Wyoming. RSVP HERE
