Lunch & Liberty: More Doctors for Wyoming?
Lunch & Liberty: More Doctors for Wyoming?
Friday, August 28, 2026 | 11:30 AM–1:00 PM
Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant | 1745 Dell Range Blvd., Cheyenne, WY
Access to quality health care can be challenging in a rural state like Wyoming. At the same time, qualified physicians who received their medical training internationally can face significant barriers to practicing medicine here—even when they have years of education and professional experience.
Could removing unnecessary barriers help bring more doctors to Wyoming?
Join Americans for Prosperity–Wyoming for Lunch & Liberty: More Doctors for Wyoming? as we explore an emerging approach to expanding physician access in our state.
We’ll take a closer look at efforts to create an alternative licensing pathway for qualified, internationally trained physicians, the safeguards designed to maintain high standards and protect patients, and what Wyoming can learn from other states that have already adopted similar reforms.
This isn’t a lecture, and you don’t need to be a health care or policy expert to participate. Lunch & Liberty is an opportunity to enjoy a meal, learn about an issue affecting Wyoming communities, ask questions, and share your perspective.
