Many individual tax provisions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) are set to expire at the end of 2025, including reduced tax rates, the increased standard deduction, and the expanded child tax credit. Without legislative action, these provisions will revert to pre-2018 levels, potentially resulting in higher taxes for many individuals.
